WANTED: Graphic novel artist to partner with

Oddbelly| Views: 577

Hey all, it’s your friendly neighbourhood writer here! 🙂

I am looking for an artist to help bring a graphic novel to life. Actually, I am hoping to partner with somebody to get this off the ground soon via Kickstarter. The good thing is that the story, panels, Kickstarter pitch and budget have all been worked out and written down – all we need to do is to put it into action!

What I am expecting from you:

  • You MUST have experience creating art for graphic novels/comics. Please do not apply unless you know how to do it.
  • You need to be fast! I completely understand that drawing takes time, but I really would love to get the Kickstarter campaign launched this year.
  • I am open to all art styles so don’t be shy about your work! Don’t worry if you have never published – as long as you can do it, I’m in! 🙂

What you can expect from:

It’s always weird taking a chance on somebody you don’t know, but I promise complete dedication on this project. I am committed to the story but I am extremely flexible when it comes to new ideas and open to suggestions – this will be our story, our partnership. Also, the story, Smitten, has incredible potential for more books in the series – so this could be a once-off collaboration (up to you!), or it might be something that takes off in an amazing direction. It is up to us to make it work.

Smitten blurb:
“Smitten’s life is complicated. Not only is he a house cat, or more specifically a werehuman, he is also madly in love with Drysi, the girl from next door. Only his owner Mr. Richards knows his secret, but this is all about to change the day the Black Goats gang start picking on Drysi and her family. Using his unique powers to protect his loved ones, Smitten starts a chain of events that leads to a confrontation with the gang and its ruthless leader, Vinny Birmingham, in a showdown that will change his life forever.”

Interested?

If so, please do get in touch so we can discuss this further. Oh, and I will need to see some samples of previous work – or at least something that shows your talent. Please also send a brief overview of who you are, why you are interested, and where you are based.

Email me (Shane O’Halloran) today at: contact@fictionkitchen.berlin

Really – really – looking forward to getting to know you!
